It's about the now, not the when.
“When I find love, I will finally be happy” ”When I make more money, I'll finally be happy," "When I lose 10 pounds, I will find love " "When I have more time, I'll finally start that course I always wanted to do" Can you relate?
This ultimatum of "when I" is killing you slowly. It is in the same family as "tomorrow I will do it ..." or “I’ll start on Monday”.
Trust me, I've been there. Hell, I'm still there sometimes! But now I know how to put out that voice. That small, negative voice inside our heads thrives by telling us that we are not yet "ready" or "good enough for it". These thoughts are a form of procrastination and doubts.
Think about it ... These thoughts are literally "security and defense mechanisms" that our brains subconsciously throw at us to prevent us from taking risks.
The reality is that the more you act on what you want now, not "tomorrow", the more success you will have and the happier you will be. Lock your own brain forcing you out of your comfort zone, even when it makes you feel uncomfortable! When you repeat these things over and over again (like going to the gym, taking the first steps to start your own business, etc.) you create new habits that changes your life over time.
It is totally natural to think about these restrictive thoughts, and that your brain feeds you with these limiting beliefs. The good news is that YOU have total control over how to react to them. You can listen to them, and in a few years, repent of what you never did, or you can begin to live your life with your best potential and do all those things you want to do. Your choice, `
